However, he did not specify the type of cancer he has. This follows a similar approach by the Princess of Wales, who also did not disclose her specific cancer type.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson explained this deliberate choice. The aim is for the King to advocate for the entire cancer community, rather than focus on one condition.

The Palace confirmed his diagnosis is not prostate cancer. This clarification followed earlier speculation after he received treatment for an enlarged prostate.

In his message, the King described his diagnosis as “overwhelming.” He emphasized the critical importance of early detection for successful treatment.

The Palace stated Charles is pleased his experience can highlight the benefits of cancer screening. He believes it is his duty to share his journey if it serves a public good.
