A recently released video has intensified public anger surrounding the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. The footage depicts Good apparently attempting to drive away as the agent fires into her SUV after the vehicle reportedly “clipped” him.

Federal authorities had initially defended the agent’s actions. A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson, Tricia McLaughlin, stated that Good had “weaponized her vehicle,” calling the incident “an act of domestic terrorism.”

This official account is now facing significant doubt following the video’s circulation. Many viewers note that the SUV’s tires were “fully turned away from the officer,” suggesting Good was in the process of fleeing rather than aiming to attack him.

The video has prompted strong criticism from public figures. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez labeled the killing “a public murder.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey was also blunt, dismissing claims of self-defense by the agent as “bullsh*t.”

Those who knew Good remember her differently. Her mother described her as an “extremely compassionate” individual and “one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.” Good was a mother to three children.
